What is HÜLF.ME?
HÜLF.ME is a low-threshold, anonymous guide to social assistance services in Vienna. The web app was specially developed for people who have little experience with the social system and feel overwhelmed by technical jargon and the abundance of information.
Through a simple, interactive questionnaire, users are guided to a small, curated selection of suitable offers. The focus is on clarity, anonymity, and ease of use.
How can you use HÜLF.ME?
You can use HÜLF.ME together with clients to get an initial overview of possible contact points. The app can help structure the conversation and quickly identify relevant offers without you or your clients needing to know the entire social system.
Especially for 'new help-seekers' or hard-to-reach target groups, the visual and interactive approach can lower a barrier.

How does the curation logic work?
To avoid overwhelm, a maximum of 5 offers per query are deliberately displayed at the end of the questionnaire. The selection is based on the user's answers and filters an internal database. If more than 5 offers match, those that are considered particularly low-threshold or basic-care-providing (e.g., crisis contacts, general social counseling) are prioritized. The selection is made according to predefined quality criteria but makes no claim to be complete.
